I should really learn to pay attention to the date.

Yesterday was the anniversary of the day my grandma died. I didnt remember this until I was in church and they started to sing How great thou art. It immediately reminded me of my grandmother and I think they played it at her funeral. Which made me realize what day it was. I tend to get teary eyed in church anyway because my grandparents are the ones who took us to church. I immediately started to cry and knew I was going to bawl, so I pretty much plowed over the little ol' man next to me on my way out, and the couple at the end of the aisle. I made it to the lobby before I really let go...luckily the bathroom wasnt far away. I managed to pull myself together and get through the rest of the service. Afterwards Jacob teaches a Sunday school class so I had an hour to kill...which I spent just driving and bawling my head off in an attempt to get it out of my system. I was already tired and pretty much felt totally drained for the rest of the day. Jacob was really good about it though. He just held me until I got myself under control. And later he sat really still ( which is a huge feat for him) while I layed in his lap and rested my eyes that were all swollen and sore. If I had thought about the date before hand, I never would have gone to church.

His newest roommate arrived last friday. His name is Alex. I am not sure if I really like him yet or not. He is friendly but one of those loud, need to be center of attention type people. His other two roommates are more mellow like Jacob. We all went to Denny's on Saturday night and met up with some other friends. I havent eaten breakfast food in forever so it was yummy.

Thursday and Friday I spent time with my roommate. It was nice. We havent hung out in forever so it was nice to catch up. Her mom and sis were here on Wednesday. Her mom painted my toenails and put on little sparkly things. Getting my toes done is one of the few girly things I do. It was nice to get lots of girly time in this week since I usually spend my free time with Jacob and his roommates.

Last Monday Jacob and I went to this big band swing dance thing at the 1912 center. It was loudn and crowded. I accidentally hit Jacob in the jaw, and some other guy in the back of the head. He got kicked in the ankle several times. Some girls spiked heel caught on my gaucho pants and started to pull them down. I crouched down with the motion of her pulling them and got her heel unstuck before I was flashing the crowd. It was a fun night until a bunch of his friends showed up. He spent about 45 minutes dancing with other people. Normally on Thursdays at CJ's I dont mind. There are alwasy people there I know and can talk to. But when we are supposed to be out together on a date night, and there is noone there I know...I dont like to be ignored. Part of the whole me being girly thing. I had a headache anyway so I decided I was done for the evening and had him take me home. He stayed at my apartment with me for a couple hours and hung out. He is really good about accomodating my neediness. We will see how long that lasts! :)

Work is a madhouse right now. Back to college is our craziest time of year. We do more sales in the two weeks before classes than we do on the day after Thanksgiving or during the Xmas season. We usually do about 2-2.5 million more in those two weeks than we do in a typical month. We have had truckload after truckload to unload and stock on the floor. We had people from the Lewiston store come up on the weekends and help out on the sales floor. I have spent about half of every shift on a register. The whole store looks like crap because there is no way to get it back in shape each night without staying until midnight. Thankfully most customers are used to the chaos and have been pretty friendly.

My best friend in Colorado just had it confirmed that she is having a little girl. I get to be godmother. I am excited. Now I will have one godson and one goddaughter. Another little girl for me to teach how to shop. Not that it wouldnt happen anyway with her mother. She definately outshops me most of the time.

That is about it for this last week.
