Let me see if I can remember all the wonderful things I have done since last September. I work mostly which is getting better-ish. Jacob no longer works there so it is a little lonely. Although there area few guys who have gone out of their way to make smile, laugh, and enjoy work in general. Both married so nothing scandalous about it. They both really like Jacob too.

We made several trips to Jacobs parents place as well as Sissy's. We finished getting up all the rock bolts and did some repelling and cleaning of the routes. For Halloween my mom made Jacob and amazing Gnome hat and boots. We found him a beer stein, a pipe, some glasses and other accessories. We went dancing at CJ's. He had the best costume by far but the contest came down to whoever was with the largest clique of people. We had fun anyway.

November brought Turkeyday and Jacobs birthday. We ate dinner with Britney and Danielle for T-day. I had to work that night to get set up for Christmas. Dinner was super yummy. I had homemade cranberry sauce for the first time and it was sooooo good.

For Jacobs birthday I bought him some ceramic bladed knives. They are super duper sharp and work really really well. He shares them well but I am afraid to use them....I am accident prone but have yet to get stitches. I would like to keep it that way. We went over to his parents place that weekend. His mom made a big dinner with my help and his favorite dessert. Sissy, Sabrina, Spencer and his horrid girlfriend came up to celebrate with us. We played apples to apples.

For Christmas we stayed on this side of the state. I was able to send my sister's family's presents with a couple of the boys' friends who drove over there to visit. Saved me on shipping which was really nice. Jacob and I slept in and then did our stockings and presents. He got me some awesome dance shoes, a video game I wanted, and a couple cases of Dr. Pepper. The really good original formula Dr.Pepper made with cane sugar not corn syrup that you can only order online or buy in certain parts of Texas. It is super expensive to ship so I am very very grateful and doing my best to stretch it out so it lasts. I also got some xmas dish towels, cookie cutters, hiking socks, oranges and some other stuff in my stocking.

I got Jacob an espresso machine and a steamer/rice cooker. We have been experimenting all weekend with them. After we opened presents we drove up to my mom's to hang out and snack on yummy snacky foods. Mom and Jim got me lots of good cooking stuffs. Pans, french fry cutter, shredder, whisks, and such. Artemis got some treats from both Nana and me, and a new squeaky toy from Santa. Jacob got a gift card to his favorite sport store from Mom and Jim.

My sissy got me a calendar, a crock pot book with yummy recipes I will be trying this week, and super duper comfy footy pajamas with sock monkey feet. They are awesome!

I will be buying myself a new chain for the crucifix Jacob got me last year with the gift card I received from my dad and stepmom. And probably Disneys Snow White as well. All in all it was a great day. Nice and relaxing. Until 9 pm anyway when I had to be at work to set up for the after Christmas sales. I worked until 6:30 Saturday morning. Jacob stayed up almost the whole time so he could come over and snuggle up with to sleep for the day. We slept until about 2:30. We played Settlers of Catan with one of his roommates and some friends. Today we were too tired to go to church and have been big bums. which reminds me i have cookies in the oven. crap.

self portrait of me and my honey
the cove at whitney point where we kayak.
jelly fish i caught in my super duper red jelly fish scoop while we were kayaking.
Scary rattle snake that tried to eat me and Artemis.

Just some random pics of my latest adventures. This weekend my mom came to stay for a few days. Friday we went to dinner at Rancho Viejo. We took went shopping earlier at walmart. we then watched part of Harry Potter 3 and went to bed.

Saturday we lounged around a bit before showering and getting ready for the day. we drove down to lewiston for the day. we stopped at the Dahmen barn and looked around. they were having their festival days. we bought some puple peppers, purple beans, peaches, green beans, and tomatoes. We ate lunch at a chinese restaurant then tried to find some garage sales. we didnt have any luck but had fun driving around. we stopped at a cute little store. the cottage gate i think it was called. then we headed home to do some shopping for my apartment. mom made a super yummy dinner for me, jacob, and britney. I made a yummy dessert with the recipe my mom gave me. it was a peach cheesecake dessert. we hung out for awhile watching harry potter 4.

sunday we went to church. then we went to lunch. then we went to the pottery store and painted pottery. it was really fun. i made two dessert plates and my mom made a salad plate. painted anyway,, not made. we made dinner for jacob and brittany again. then we watched harry potter 5. it was a busy and relaxing weekend all in one. it was very nice to hang out.

today i made a ton of fresh french fries with my new deep fryer. it was fun and all the guys at jacobs house really appreciated them.

work sucks. i hate my job. i am hoping to miraculously find something that pays the same. we will see. i have had enough of wally world. blah that is it for now. i need to go pick up my honey from his teaching job.

weekend getaway

Last weekend we went to stay with Jacob's mom in Brinnon. (his dad was in Colorado visiting his mother and other various family members) I would have visited with my family but my sister A) forgot I was coming, B) never called me back friday night until way later and my phone was out of service range, and C) my phone died before I could call her again.

Anyway, it was a very relaxing weekend. Jacob got up about 9 on Saturday and hung out with his mom and his laptop. I stayed in bed until 10. We went to eat lunch at the Timberhouse restaurant. It was soooo yummy. They have the best cheesy bread with garlic, sun dried tomatoes, and green onion. After we awoke from our food comas, and my food baby stopped kicking, we went to Rocky Brook Falls. Jacob put in two more climbing bolts while I repelled down a previous route and cleaned all the loose rocks and moss out. I used to be terrified of repelling. Actually, I hate being lowered when someone else is belaying me. Repelling is fun because I am in control of my speed of descent. I guess I really am a control freak. huh

Saturday night we went to bed at 8.We slept until 7 Sunday morning. Jacob really needed the sleep as he had been on nights the previous two weeks and didnt sleep much during the day due to his 7 roommates. I was just happy to have so much cuddle time that I was willing to go to bed before I was ready. We lounged around most of the morning. We went back to Rocky Brook so Jacob could finish the last bolt. We got on the road fairly early for us. We were home by midnight when we usually get home around 3-4 am. Jacobs mom also made a super duper yummy dinner for us on Saturday. We were hoping to pick some apples from his parents orchard but those darn elk already stripped the trees bare. We also were hoping the eggplant his parents planted were ready so we could make ratatouille. I decided we needed to try it after seeing the movie. Guess now we will have to buy some.

Work is super stressful. They are removing positions in the store through attrition. The lady in charge of cosmetics switched to Pharmacy which means I inherited the cosmetics department. Now i have twice as much work to do. Its so frustrating. I cant get another job that will pay me what i am making now so I have to just deal with it. It has been a very long week.

My mother is coming to spend the weekend with me. We will be garage saleing in Lewiston, making pottery, watching movies and relaxing. It should be a fun weekend. Next weekend is the womens retreat at church. I am not sure how it will go. Hopefully better than last year. We will see. I have met a lot more women in the past year from bible studies and church in general. Hopefully that will help make it more enjoyable.

In October we will be going to the west side at least once if not twice. I decided jacob is going to carve pumpkins with me for our front porches. He plays along with my holiday instructions very patiently and willingly. That is about it i guess. Nothing else too exciting.

I had to buy a new battery for my car. It kept not wanting to start. Speaking of car batteries....I had one leak acid all over me at work this week. I got a free pair of pants out of the deal. A really cute pair I had been thinking about buying. Since it was a work related accident, they paid for me to get a new pair of pants. I had to change out of my other ones right away cuz of the whole caustic element of acid. I didnt notice until way later that night that it was on my shirt as well. Nothing like realizing you are showing a huge amount of skin in a room full of guys. Luckily Jacobs roommates are tactful.

Devil's eye, and Deadly Rattlers

So my adventurous boyfriend finally took me to see the devil's eye. First we had to hike a mile straight up hill through cactus, prickly bushes, weeds, and cow pies. It was Jacob, his roommate Gabe, Gabe's sister Kris, and a couple of her friends. After resting awhile, puppy and I hiked around the cliffs to the cow trail that lead to the arch. On the way there Artemis startled a rattler. Luckily she came back as soon as I called her. I didnt see it cuz I didnt want to get to close. We hung out on the arch for awhile. Jacob and some others repelled down. Puppy and I hiked back around the trail. I carried her cuz I knew there was a rattler on the loose. I slowed down to pay attention when we got close to where it had been. I almost stepped on it before it rattled this time. It had moved closer to the arch and was almost on the trail. I backed up and got a good picture. Then we skirted way around it. before we got back to the car a huge wind storm stirred up a massive ominous wall of dust. It was a good day though.

Work is super busy still. I already have an hour of overtime and its just monday. ooh plus its a holiday so it is an extra hour at time and a half. yea me. i plan on getting enough overtime that i can leave early on friday. jacob and i our heading over to the west side.

jacob has been on overnights the last two weeks. it stinks not having him at work but on the other hand it makes time fly by because i dont take my lunch until i am about to hit my 6 hour mark. i will be happy to have him back on days though.

puppy is doing well. she loves our new apartment. She loves to run in and out of the house. She has made friends with the upstairs neighbor. She likes to see what is going on in the neighborhood.

Not a whole lot else going on. I am taking two bible study classes this semester. And jacob and I are taking a dance class at the Pioneer center. Its nice to have stuff to do while he is teaching instead of stitting at home waiting for him. That is about all we have done lately. We went rock climbing last weekend or the weekend before.

Interupted

So my last entry was interupted. The trip back from Olympia was quite the adventure. We tried to leave around 1 pmish. I think. Anyway we didnt make it more than about 10 miles when traffic came to a total stand still. We made it about 2 miles or so in over an hour. We finally were able to get off I-5 so we could use the restroom and get snacks. We were told there was an accident and traffic was backed up forever on I-5 and all the side roads were starting to get clogged too. We decided to back track and take White Pass home instead.

We got back on I-5 going South. We stopped in Centralia at Wal Mart because my mom needed something. I think it was a phone charger. anyway we got lunch at mcdonalds there. Once we got back on the road it was close to three hours since we had originally left.

White Pass was beautiful. Except for the whole torrential down pour and marble sized hail that we had to pull over and wait out. We almost hit an elk too. We made lots of stops for snacks and stretching. There is a really beautiful lake there and some waterfalls too. By the time I dropped my mom in Spokane and got home it was over 12 hours of driving.

In more recent news, work is insane. All the college kids are back and shopping like crazy. I cant keep anything on my shelves. I order and order and it just goes right out the door. Almost all my categories (shampoo, deoderant etc) have double digit increases from last year. Everyone is stressed out though. Its not the best atmosphere to work in. Its almost over though.

They are changing the way the management structure works. They are combining departments so there are less department managers. No one is losing thier job though. Just as people quit they will not be replaced. Thier department will be picked up by another manger in thier area. According to the way the system is supposed to work, if everyone in my area quits I would be in charge of Health and Beauty (the department I have now),Cosmetics, Pets, Paper Goods and Chemicals. No one gets a pay raise for taking on more work either. There will be zone managers now to help. thats a whole other story. they will also be changing our schedules eventually so we no longer work 8-5 or 7-4 m-f. we will have to work weekends and closing shifts. Jacob and I are both looking for other jobs.

My new apartment has turned out nicely. The living room is a bit crowded with both mine and jacobs lazy boy chairs, his couch, my desk, two book shelves, and my tv stand and tv. but i have enough room for my card table in the middle to scrapbook on. My room is less crowded but still full. Artemis loves having a fenced yard to play in. I leave the front door open sometimes and she runs in and out. she likes to take her toys out on the front porch. I have even been doing more cooking.

Thats about it i guess. I am not sure when but we are planning another trip to the western washington. We each had to work one weekend day for back to college and of coure jacob and I had opposite weekends. This weekend he starts nights. Then we are going camping over labor day weekend. We are going on teh columbia in oregon with some friends. right now life is good!

More Updates

sorry mom....I knew there was stuff that hapepened in June. I was trying to remember four months worth of stuff and just couldnt think of it all.

Alex graduated in June. Jacob and I drove seperate cars to the west side. I went up to Spokane to pick up my mom so she could see her first grandchild graduate. The trip was pretty uneventful. We made lots of stops so she could stretch. Artemis had fun chasing seagulls at one stop. They sound just like her. It was like they were mocking her. Funny stuff. I spent the weekend with Jacob at his parents place then went back to sissy's Sunday night. Monday we went to the bay so Angela could see the ocean. Artemis had fun running along the shore in the waves.

Alex's graduation was nice. I only cried afterwards during pic time

time to catch up

okay so it has been a super duper long time since i blogged. Here is a quick catch up by month.

May: the most important thing was my 25Th (again) birthday. Jacob and I had a huge fight on our way to the west side. I had a horrible day at work too. We had things worked out by the time we got there and enjoyed the rest of the weekend. we went to the lake with the kids, did some kayaking, went to the drive in to see Terminator and something else which i forget. then we spent the rest of the weekend in Brinnon with Jacob's parents. I also pretty much moved in with him the second week when his roommate moved out.

June. Lots of trips to Brinnon and Olympia. We did extensive work to Jacobs kayak to make it more sea worthy. Lots of time and money put into it but now it does not leak. we also camped some too.

July: we spent fourth or July at elk river. we drove out there, got the kayak out and realized we forgot the paddles. so we drove all the way back to Pullman to get them. then back to elk river with just enough time to put the kayak together, and paddle around the reservoir into the creek near the air field so we could see the fireworks. it was a beautiful night so we spent about an hour in the water after the show. kayaking by moonlight is pretty amazing. we spent a weekend at his parents place. Rachel and the kids came up to camp. we went swimming, hiking, and rock climbing. i locked my keys in my car and we had to break a window to get them out. the next day we went kayaking with Jacob's dad. i caught some jelly fish in my jelly fishing scoop. they are fun to poke at.

at the end of the month we both had to move. i had planned on renting a uhaul so i could load it up Friday night and unload Saturday morning august first. Jacob's parents were coming with their SUV and trailer to help him move so they said they would help me too. His dad was going to do some electrical work on Jacob's new place. The weekend before they were supposed to come, their car blew the high pressure power steering hose. they were not able to come help us. We were stressing about what to do. u-haul didn't have any trucks for us but said to keep checking back because there might be one turned in early. luckily Jacob found a friend with a truck to get his stuff done. he had to be out by 6 pm on Friday. i went to u-haul after work and got a little truck. it had to be back by 11:30 the next morning. i couldn't get the key to my apartment until 10 am, so we would only have less than an hour to get it unloaded. my roommate was freaking out because her family was coming to stay and she was counting on having my room empty.
we decided to load up just the big heavy furniture so that the hardest part was done. and we knew we could get it done in 45 minutes.

of course nothing ever goes according to plan. after we loaded up and left we decided that we would go to my new apartment early, unload on the porch, then get the key and the guys would take everything inside while i returned the truck. so we unloaded it all and i went for the key. only to find out my apartment was not ready. the guy who cleans and checks them out said it was but the carpets had not been cleaned. we sat with my stuff for about 3 hours until i decided it was safe enough. then Jacob and i took our cars to my old place. it took us each 3 loads to get all the boxes and stuff moved over to the new place. the carpets had been done at 4 pm so we put everything in the kitchen and bathroom. we then went to eat. at 9pm we were finally able to move everything in. i had these big plans of my neatly labeled boxes being placed in the proper rooms. since everything had to be stuffed into the bathroom and kitchen it was chaos. i am still not totally unpacked. I am just grateful that it all worked out and we were able to move in.

Jacob and I also celebrated our 1 year anniversary. we didn't really do anything since we were getting ready to go to the west side for a four day weekend. we didn't want to spend any money so we could really enjoy our time over there. we did go out to eat at the Mongolian place since i had a punch card with a free meal. pretty romantic i know. we are going to dress up and go out to eat with this next paycheck.

work is good but very hectic. we are getting ready for back to school which is our biggest time of year. everyone is so stressed out. i was given the most feature space. i spent hours with management planning out everything. then the stupid overnighter's go and do what ever they want and screw everything up. i spent hours undoing what they did. plus the stuff i ordered was not coming in. they finally sent me everything at once. they sent us two trucks in one night. most of which was my stuff. the back room is a mess. i have been working my butt off trying to get it all organized.

Artemis is so big now. she still only weighs four pounds but she only weighed about 1 1/2 when i got her. she does not like the new apartment. at least not yet. hopefully when i get it more organized she will adjust. she does like that she gets to be locked in the kitchen while i am at work instead of her cage. and she loves the large fenced in yard. that is about it here. Jacob and i are heading over to the west side again in two weeks. Rachel and the kids will be in Spokane this weekend so we are heading up there. we are taking a load of stuff to my dads, going grocery shopping in his pantry/freezer, and then going to my moms for dinner.

Peeps roasting on an open fire....

Peep being toasted for smores.
Innocent peep about to meet its demise.

Palouse falls where we camped.
This weekend I camped with Britney and Renee at Palouse falls. It was lots of fun. I took them hiking on the most convaluted path ever. We almost got hit by a train twice within 15 minutes of each other. I ran into a den of Gardener snakes. Britney found the biggest spider known to man. We walked along a cliff for about half a mile. I should say I walked and the other two crawled a good portion of it. Artemis was a great little adventurer. We had smores, steak, hotdogs and wine. It only rained a little bit.
Jacob is over on the coast for nine days. It is going to be a very long week. I miss him lots.

I have become one of those dog owners I swore I never would be.

I went to the scrapbook store and it happened to be Mothers weekend for WSU. There was a photographer taking pictures of mothers and daughters. I had Artemis in the car so I decided to get our picture taken together. She is do darn cute!!!

Easter is here!

Artemis' puppy tooth.

Artemis in her Easter cape.
She is still so tiny.
Not too much going on lately. Artemis is losing her baby teeth. We were playing and one of her bigger ones fell out into my hand. It freaked me out a little. There was a lot of blood. She seemed totally fine though. She loves her new Easter cape. Everyone needs to be dressed in their best on Easter Sunday.
Work is going well. Its super busy and stressful but I am loving it. I am exhausted by Friday though. I got supoeaned at work to appear in court for an accident case last week. It settled out of court this week though so I dont have to go. I was kinda looking forward to it. Oh well.
I get to go over to Olympia in a few weeks and see the family. I am very excited. I miss them so much. Jacob will be in Brinnon on his week vacation so he will be coming down to meet the family at some point.
We went to the Good Friday service last night at church. It was nice but I bawled of course. We had to sing How Great thou Art which reminds me of my grandma. Plus just church and Easter in general reminds me of my grandparents. It was a rough night. Jacob is really good though about holding me through my meltdowns.
Hmm...what else have I done lately? We attended Swing out Nowhere here in Moscow. They had two live big bands and two sets of professional teachers come in for the weekend. There was a dance Friday and Saturday night. During the day Saturday and Sunday they had all kinds of workshops. Jacob took the more advanced ones and I took the beginning ones. We both learned a 40's line/group dance too. It was lots of fun.
I invited a bunch of people over to Jacobs to decorate Easter eggs. His parents always put candy in plastic eggs and hid them. He had never dyed eggs before. It was fun watching him play around and experiment with the dyes.
I guess that is it for now. I need to finish catching up on laundry, clean my room, and go through my storage unit. Fun stuff. : )

Super Puppy

Artemis in her blanket made by nana.
She loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches just like her mama.

Super puppy St. Patricks Day cape.

Super Artemis cape.
Artemis is getting to be a big girl. She is twice the size she was when I got her. She now weighs a whole 4 pounds. Sadly when we got back from Brinnon, I found a tick on her. I think Jacob was the most traumatized by the removal process. He had to hold her down and she squealed like she was being killed. It was horrible but I had the "tough mom" attitude that it had to be done for her health. It didnt bother me as much. He felt soooo bad. She is going in to get fixed next month. She has become really spoiled and I often make her PB&J sandwiches for lunch.
Work is good. Its super busy and stresssful. Its a good stress though. I secured an apartment for next summer when my lease is up here. Its a tiny one bedroom with lovely 70's colors. Orange carpet, yellow tub and kitchen. It will be so nice to have a place to myself where I can let Artemis have free run. Plus it has a huge fenced in yard she can play in. Its in an old house so there is a huge front porch and a tiny little deck off the back for just me. I am super excited to move in. Too bad I have to wait until August.

Yeah for blue herons
The view before the storm front came all the way in. Dosewallips river.

Artemis and I on our hike.

Rocky Brook Falls where Jacob was baptised.

Rocky Brook.
My meeting Jacob's parents went really well. They were super friendly and made me feel right at home. The town where Jacob grew up is beautiful. We spent most of Saturday hiking by the falls. We found some great spots for climbing that we are going to develop. He showed be all around town and introduced me to some friends. We were in bed early and up super early every day. It was really nice seeing all the places and people he has told me about.
For the record (which appears to be broken since I have said this before several times) I am not embarrassed to bring him home to meet my family. We were not ready before now to do the whole "meet the parents" thing. I will not be guilted, tricked, bullied, or rushed into moving my relationship along any faster than I want to. So there. You will all get to meet him soon enough.

Meet the Parents

Jacob and I were going to go to Portland this weekend for the Lindy exchange. Then he decided he didnt want to go. So I was going to go to Olympia and stay with Sissy for the weekend. I invited him to come along. Then both the boys came down with Mono. Now we are going to stay in his hometown for the weekend. Scary Scary Scary. I am not sure I am fully prepared for the whole "meet the parents" weekend.

Not much else is new. My new job is kicking my butt. I had to work from 5 am to 2pm m-th to reset the entire shampoo aisle. It put me behind on everything else. Plus the overnight crew keeps leaving me carts and pallets full of freight to deal with. They are supposed to have it all labeled and binned before they go. I keep forgetting to sign my orders between 1-2 so I have to reorder everday. The day flys by though. And its challenging which is nice. I am determined to get caught up and stay on top of things. In three weeks when I am done setting my deoderant wall and shaver wall anyway. At least I have two associates in my area to help. One is really really good. The other girl just started and has only worked one day that I am aware of. I will have her working her booty off in no time! :)

Crack climbing

Poor Artemis was too little to get her rope unstuck from the littlest bunches of dried grass. It was so funny.
Repelling down. That is my least favorite part.

Climbing up an fairly easy part.

Almost to the top!!

7 months and counting!! :)
Jacob, his roommmate Alex, and I went rock climbing this weekend. I did so good!! I didnt need to be hoisted up once. It was lots of fun. The weather was perfect for it. I tied Artemis to a tree with a 50 ft rope. She had the best time running all over the place. She was on the move the whole three hours we were there. She slept for the rest of the day straight through until the next morning. The poor thing kept getting her rope caught. We were cracking up. She would get so upset when I climbed up and she couldnt get to me. Icant wait until its warmer and see how she takes to the water.
Sunday we went to church and then Jacob made spaghettti. It was for the group dinner but also its my favorite and it was our seven month mark.

Valentines Day

My beautiful Carnations
Yummy chocolates and Dr. Pepper. He only bought me one of the cases. The other was one I bought to keep there.

My adorable little bear.

I had to work Valentines night. At first I was fine with this because Jacob was supposed to be out of town. We talked about celebrating after he got back by going out to dinner. I decided i was going to make him dinner. Which is a pretty big deal because I dont like to cook and have never ever made dinner for a boy before. Then he informed me he was doing overnights the week he got back. Which means he would be home all day when I wanted to cook dinner at his place to surprise him. I ended up cooking steak, potatoes, biscuits, and cherry cheese pie last Tuesday. He ended up not going out of town because he still doesnt feel all that well.

Then I was kind of sad I had to work but not too sad because I would still get to see him. Then he decided he was going to go to the Valentines Ballroom dance here in town. Which was fine because I had to work and I didnt want him to stay home doing nothing. But I really hated the idea of him dancing with other girls on Valentines Day while I was stuck working. He ended up not going after all. When I got to his house after work he had flowers, chocolate, a mini stuffed bear, and Dr.Pepper waiting for me. The best part is I got to fall asleep with him on the couch.

New Job...New School...New Year

I have been very comfortable in my position in the womens department at Wal mart. Everyone has been telling me I should apply for a department manager position for years now. I havent really been interested in taking on more responsibility. Last week two positions came available and everyone started guilting me into trying for them. I finally gave in and took the manager test (which I passed) and applied for the Department Manager of HBA position. I interviewed yesterday and got the job. Now I will be working primarily M-F from 8-5. I will have to do some overnights and 5-2 when new features come in or we have to set for different seasons. Best of all is a $1.10 raise and working the same schedule as Jacob! The more I thought about it after applying the more excited I got. Now I am really excited for the challenge and the change.

As for school...I applied to WSU. Whenever I would go to do the paperwork I needed for U of I to switch majors and get ready for next semester I would get a feeling of dread and put it off. When it came down to the deadline I got physically sick thinking about going back there. I really do not like the school and was not happy there at all. So I applied at WSU. We will see if I like it better. Jacob has filled me in on some of their requirements of all students. I will have to take two world history classes which I dont mind at all. And I will have to put together a writing portfolio which I really dont mind. I love writing. At U of I, I would have had to take a stupid computer class which requires you to make a web page and learn some basic programming. I am not into computers at all beyond getting the info I need and stalking my friends. If I ever need a webpage made, I will pay someone to do it. And I will never program anything. There were other things at U of I that I didnt like either. I feel much better now about my future and schooling. Hopefully this will work out for me or I will have to go with my back up plan of winning the lottery!!!

Stupid cold

Jacob has been sick all week due to his ice climbing adventure last weekend. I thought I had escaped being sick since I just watched. Alas, I have caught his icky sore throat, stuffed up cold.

On the up side, I have had my license back for a few days now. And we got a washer/dryer stacked combo in our apartment finally. No more hauling giant bags of laundry up and down the stairs and to/from my car. Yeah!

one more thing

i am tagging shawna, karen, and rachel

Oh yeah...almost forgot

tag six people to do the same (see previous post)

Tagged by Wendy E who was tagged by Tina V. heehee that rhymes

The rules of the game......go to your sixth picture folder, pick the sixth picture and tell the story behind it.

So I almost cheated because this is such a boring picture. But then I decided to follow the rules anyway. This is a picture of Trevor's truck loaded with my dressers. When it was time to move out of the dorms and into an apartment, I enlisted Ben and Trevor who both have trucks. I bribed them with lunch but as it turns out they were both really excited to help. Niether of them ever get to do any hauling or other "manly" things with thier trucks so they were like little boys with a new toy. They bought bungees and nets and jumped right into loading up the stuff from my three storage units. It made the move so much easier. Its nice to have such good friends.

Happy Day!

Today my license is officially valid again. And we are having a washer/dryer combo installed in our apartment this very moment. Yeah!!! :) No more depending on my wonderful boyfriend to haul me around. And no more hauling huge laundry bags down the stairs, across the muddy ground to my car, and back again. Plus it will save me some money each month.

Not much else new. Artemis is getting bigger. I didnt really notice until I figured out her collar is no longer huge on her. You can tell if you look at older pictures too.

Just call me Miss Demeanor

So I was sitting at a red light last night on my way back to work from my dinner break, when I got rear ended. Not very bad at all. I am fine and my car is fine. The girl didnt pull over though to make sure everything was fine so I got her info and called the cops. Officer Casey stopped by work to get all the info he needed. After he was done he asks me " is there anything you know about going on with your license?"

I had a speeding ticket not too long ago that I paid about a week and a half late because when I went to pay it on time with the rest of my bills, I had not put a stamp on it. Anyway I had been meaning to call the court house and see about late fees that I assumed I was going to have to pay. Apparently Whitman county doesnt fool around. They added the late fee, which they never sent me anything about, and when I hadnt paid it in ten days they suspended my license.

Thankfully Officer Casey was kind enough to not arrest me as it was a misdemeanor charge. He gave me strict instructions to absolutely not drive until I got it taken care of. I had Jacob come get me from work and he was kind enough to drive me to work today on his lunch break.

I called the courthouse and found they sent me to collections. You would think the collection agency would let you know they wanted money from you. Anyway I paid the late fee and now get to wait up to five business days for it to go from the collecion agency, to the courthouse, and then to the DMV. Fun stuff!!!

Not alot else is new. Artemis is doing great. She sleeps much longer if I let her sleep in bed with me. She starts out by my feet and I usually wake up with her on my head or across my neck. She is definitely part terrier. She jumps and hops like a little rabbit. Its so funny. We are working on teaching her to sit. Actually Jacob has done more work on this than I have. She is still not a yippy dog. She will bark outside at other dogs, or at the door when she hears the neighbors. She mostly barks at me when she wants my attention and I am not looking at her. She is spoiled and a mama's girl.

Jacob and I have been together for six months now. He is an amazing boyfriend. Work is the same ol stuff every day. At least I am still getting full time hours. Alot of the part time associates are only getting 14-20 hours a week. Its nice having a reliably sufficient paycheck every two weeks. Other than that nothing new. I miss my family. : (

yeah! I finally figured out how to upload pictures!

Jacob was so excited about the rock climbing gear I got him for his birthday he couldnt wait to try it out. He decided to climb the wall and hang from the loft in thier living room. When that wasnt quite good enough he then repelled from thier third floor balcony. He is such a boy.

these are the best pictures of her but I havent uploaded them all from my camera yet. she is full of attitude but a sweetheart too. her new name is Artemis....as in Artemis the goddess of the hunt. She loves to pounce and attack when you arent looking.

Puppy!!!

I got my puppy today! She is super cute. I drove all the way to Grandview, Washington to pick her up. It was a three hour drive. It was so hard to pick on of the three to take home. She doesnt have a name yet. She is really mellow and just loves to hang out on your lap. Jacob is the best boyfriend ever for getting me a puppy. other reasons too. More stuff for me to scrapbook!!

Snow Snow go away

We got another foot of snow last night somewhere between about midnight and 7 this morning. Jacob and I are snowed in until they plow the driveway. We both called in to work. It is such torture being snowbound together. heehee
