Christmas

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I spent the holiday with Jacob. We both worked on Christmas eve. He got off before me and started dinner. He made me his spaghetti which i love love love. We went to bed kind of early. We woke up and went through our stockings. Then we opened presents. He is getting me a puppy next month. We are hoping to find a good deal on a leftover puppy that didnt get bought for christmas or that got returned because it turned out to be too much work. we are also looking at the humane society. Anyway he bought me all the stuff I need for a puppy: food, treats, dishes, bed, crate, toys, trainging books etc. He also bought me a beautiful crucifix necklace. My sissy and her family got me a really cool air popcorn popper that looks like an old fashioned cart popcorn popper.

Later we spent the day watching movies that i bought him : Wall E, Horton Hears a Who, and Kung Fu Panda. We also went outside and built a snow fort. We had Christmas dinner at Shari's. Sadly he had to work at 8 tonight. We had dinner at Applebees courtesy of my mom and stepdad on tuesday because monday was our 5 month anniversary but i had to work late. we dont really make a big deal of monthly marks except to say happy anniversary but i had the gift certificate. I was going to try and make over to see sissy this weekend but the roads are going to be too bad still. :(

Work has been good. I have been getting a steady 40 hours a week. Its nice to have more than just enough to get by. Jacob got two different teaching positions for swing dance. he will be teaching at the WSU rec center and at LCSC. He is really excited.

Jacob's roommates are all gone for two weeks over break so I have pretty much moved in for the time being. Its fun to play house for awhile. I will never admit just how domestic I have become while staying here. Its gotten pretty bad though. I am such a girl.

Well I think I am going to make some more spaghetti noodles. My life is not that exciting.

Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I had a really good week. All of Jacob's roommates were gone so I pretty much lived at his apartment the whole time. I was of course the biggest girl. I woke up when he did and made him coffee. And sometimes threw some stuff together for snacks and lunch. Nothing major...just a slice of pie or some leftovers if we had any. I havent crossed over so far into girly land that I would make a whole lunch for him. It was nice to get a lot of alone time with him since we are usually surrounded by a million people.

We both had to work on Thanksgiving. He was scheduled and they asked me to come in. I said I could only work whatever hours he was working. They all rolled thier eyes at that one but were grateful for any extra help. After work we went and saw the new James Bond movie. It was ok. Then we ate dinner at Sharis. He had waffles and I had crepes. He doesnt eat turkey and we really didnt want to socialize that night. Besides we had pecan pie the night before. And i have a box of stuffing at his house that i will make soon. Oh and I need to buy some olives too. thats the only part of turkey day I really missed. (besides family of course)

Black friday was a blast. I got up at 4 am. I was afraid that I was too far back in line to get anything on my list but I managed to get everything I wanted. Plus, if it was an item we normally carried, I got my discount on it! yeah for $2 dvds that became $1.80 dvds. I will be almost $100 under budget when I am done shopping. The store was totally crazy but it was fun to watch everyone scurry around. I just took my time. I talked to my sissy while we shopped so it kinda felt like we were shopping together. I managed to grab a few items for her that she couldnt get over there. Next year she really needs to come here to shop.

Lets see...what else is new? I chopped off my hair. I was tired of the last bit of highlights still being in there and my hair being damaged. I think they are all gone now. Hopefully it will start growing out quickly like it used to. I havent heard anything about the court case at work since I gave my deposition. We dont get our usual gift at work this year. In the past Wal-mart has given its employees a coupon for an extra 10% off one item that we can combine with our normal discount to give us 20% of an item. This year they decided to give us 10% off all food items that we normal dont get discounted. This would be a great idea if we were a supercenter. or had a supercenter nearby. As it is, it just means we get a discount on milk and some snack crap, both of which i rarely eat. its pretty lame. oh well.

My fish killing curse struck again. The fish I bought Hillary died within a week. We decided its because the bowl was too big. I think Betas like tiny, dirty bowls. We are going to try one last time to get her a fish. This time we will put it in a tiny bowl and see how it does.

Jacob just had his birthday. He is 23 now. Hee hee. such a youngin. I bought him a camera because he has needed/wanted one for awhile. So what does he buy himself at work on Thanksgiving? a new camera. With all the stores closed for Thanksgiving, I only had the next morning to buy him a new gift. I was in a panic trying to come up with something else to get him. Pain in my arse that boy is. He had been in the process of setting himself up for rockclimbing so he doesnt always have to borrow equpiment when we go. He had detailed all the things he still needed/wanted. And I had half paid attention so I was able to get most of what he needed. We have instigated a new relationship rule "no shopping for yourself from November 1-Dec 25th" and i cant shop for myself the month before my bday. He had plans to go rock climbing on saturday (his actual bday) so I had to give him his present friday night. I needed a reason for him to open it that night so I told him he had to open it at midnight so it was technically his bday but before his roommates came home because it was inappropriate to open if front of them. He looked alarmed but didnt say anything at first. About 10 minutes later he asked if it was going to be ok for him to have it the apartment with his roommates. He looked really worried. I was cracking up.

I tried setting up my christmas tree today. My mom gave me her little fake tree. It was a perfect size and really nice but the tree trunk part is bent and it falls over. The stand is cracking so I cant get it to stand up straight. I will spend more time trying to fix it tomorrow. Hillary and I are going to buy some decorations and lights. I already have a bunch but I want it to feel like her tree too so we will pick some new stuff out.

Friday is our christmas party at work. We are deep frying some turkeys. should be fun. we also get our sales bonus check with our next paycheck. its not as big as usual but any extra bit helps.

I went on a random roadtrip with Benjamin and Trevor a few weeks ago. It was really nice. I forgot how much I love hanging out with those two. Trevor drove his convertible with the top down for awhile. It was great. We drove to Klemgard park and walked around. Not too exciting but we got to catch up.

I guess thats it for my exciting life.

Drunken Blog

So I had a really crappy day at work, and am PMSing big time. I have finally opened my birthday bottle of wine and am feeling really good!! heehee Nothing really exciting to post. Work is a pain. I got to be the only one in apparel tonight trying to keep up on returns and straightening everything. Stupid college kids kept trashing everything as they were finding last minute stuff for their Halloween costumes. I should so be fired for how many rude things I said and how many people I told to stop trashing the store or they would be forced to leave. Or at least talked to. But they think I am wonderful so I doubt they would believe any customers who complained. My pizza just got here so I am going to go stuff myself, take a bath, and go to bed.

Colorado

Wow...I didnt realize its been almost a month since my last post. I havent been up to a whole lot. This past weekend Jacob and I drove to Colorado to visit a friend. We left about 11 pm Saturday night and arrived there at midnight Sunday. It was an incredibly long drive. We stopped and slept in the car for a couple of hours in Montana. We had to stop in Wyoming for a couple of hours so he could finish his homework and email it in. The country side was beautiful. We saw lots of antelope and heard an elk. He made two loaves of his yummy bread to take with us so we had good stuff to eat on the way. I was supposed to go by myself but I talked him into going with me. I am such a bad influence on him.

The actual visit was not so great. My friend was not herself. I am going to give her the benfit of the doubt and chalk it up to being seven months pregnant and trying to put together a new house. Her husband is not very friendly either. Poor Jacob didnt feel welcomed at all. I felt really bad. It was an awkward visit. The ride home was almost just as long even without stopping to sleep or do homework. There was rain, snow and lots of construction. It was nice getting to spend some time with Jacob and not be entertaining myself while he did homework.

I havent really done anything else that I can think of. Just work and hanging out. We had a gas leak in our apartment that was fun to deal with. The guys came and replaced a valve which put pressure on the other old valves, therefore rupturing them and making the leak worse. We finally got it all taken care of and have heat now.

Work is the same. We have been really busy. There is a stupid new system for the backroom. All the bins have barcodes now and all merchandise has to be scanned in and out. It takes forever. Although we have discovered a way to cheat the system which makes it much easier. It takes so long to enter stuff in that the overnighters are way behind, which puts us way behind. There are pallets and pallets of freight in the back blocking our bins and hanging racks. We cant get to anything to put it on teh floor or bin the stuff on the pallets that wont go out. Its ridiculous. I havent worked the last four days so maybe its better by now. Our stupid store manager wont let us dress up for Halloween this year either. Jerk

That is it for my exciting life. Jacob and I have been together for three months now. It has gone by really fast. We were supposed to go ice skating last night but he ended up having to work from 4pm to 1 am. We will do it next week some time instead.

Women's Retreat

So I went on a women's retreat for church this weekend. It was nice overall but not entirely what I expected. I met a lot of really nice people. Saturday I went for a bike ride on the Centennial trail. I rode 4 miles out and 4 miles back. My butt and legs are sooooooooooo sore. It was nice though. And then I went and jumped in the river to cool off. It was freezing and felt great. Saturday night we went swimming at midnight. Some of the girls went skinny dipping because they never had before. I won 3 prizes. One for having brought the most shoes....which was really embarassing. Two for being at the tables that won the activities they set out at meal times. They were puzzle type things. I could have claimed three more prizes but thought being greedy at a church function was not ok. Me and my friend Liz were the last two to go dancing. She had danced most of the night while I only showed up at the end of the night and danced with Jacob a couple times before we left for the bagel shop. I had just one for my shoes so I let her take the dancing prize. Later they asked everyone who is always chronically late to stand up. They all got prizes for being honest. I sat back down because I already had three prizes. The last day our table figured out the puzzle like 2 seconds before they revealed the answer and another table had the answer too. Our table didnt say anything since we barely made it. I just like to know I could have had more prizes.....I like to win!! :)

Yesterday Jacob and I went to dinner and then saw Tropic Thunder. It was really funny. One of his roommates is being an ass, so we spent most of the day elsewhere. Tonight I am staying home with Hillary and having roommate time. We havent hung out in awhile so it should be nice. She is renting some movies after work and I am sure we will order in pizza.

I got to visit my sissy and the kids a few weekends ago. I bought Spencer Singstar 90's edition for his birthday. Its a kareoke game for the PS2. We spent all day Sunday singing really badly. It was tons of fun though. I had gotten car sick from driving over there Saturday night. I felt ok Sunday but Sunday night while driving James and Alex to Spokane on my way home, I got a sore throat and started feeling sick. I ended up with a sinus infection and being miserable all the next week. That didnt stop me from riding with Jacob Monday night as he drove over to Bremerton. We left at 11pm and arrived at his friends house at 5 am. We slept until 8:30 then went and ran his errand. Then we drove back to Pullman. It was a very fun trip but exhausting. Didnt help me get better either. Oh well. I got a speeding ticket on the way to Sissy's house too. That sucked.

Thats about all I have done. I still spend most of my time at Jacobs but now that he has started school I usually just read or watch a movie while he does homework. fun stuff.

Keeping the Family Updated

Today I woke up between 630 and 7 am. I was not happy about that at all. I got up and ate some breakfast. Then I went back to bed. I woke up again at 11 to get ready for work. I then went to work from 12 -530. On my way home I stopped and got a happy meal. I talked to my sister on the phone for a long time. I played on my computer. I contemplated actually doing my laundry but decided against it. At 8:25 I drove over to Jacob's apartment to hang out. He showed me and his roommates some very old and totally politically incorrect comic book covers of superman and batman. they said things like slap a jap with war bonds. and called the japanese the japanazis. they are all online. then we cuddled for awhile because neither of us had the energy to make out. then i drove home. that should cover my recent goings on for you and be recent enough after my last blog!! I love you guys and miss you too.

I need a new job

Work is driving me nuts. It wouldnt be so bad if my assistant manager wasnt a condesending jack ass. Besides being rude and unapproachable he never checks over the schedule. He just signs off on what the computer prints out. Every other manager checks it and makes changes but ours just says he has to fill the hours as they come down. Doesnt matter that it schedules everyone but one person during the day and leaves the last person to close the entire apparel departments by themselves. I asked for a weekend off and he approved friday, knowing that i already have sundays off, but rejected saturday. he approved friday almost two weeks before he rejected the saturday. i asked him about it and he said he would take care of it. it wouldnt be so aggravating if he had rejected the whole weekend. but to give me one day and get my hopes up just to jerk me around is a crappy move. now i have to call in that day and get an unexcused absence. All the other managers felt bad for me and agreed it was a crappy move. he was like I will give you saturday if you come in on sunday. i dont have enough people to cover saturday. which is funny considering he let carol and alyssa have the last saturday off, leaving me as the only person covering fitting room and all of apparel on a saturday night. plus he didnt schedule enough cashiers so we only had two at 8 pm. I spent half the nigth on the registers and still managed to get all returns done and half the departments zoned. yet he cant spare me on a saturday and just work the other 6 people.

Enough ranting. Other than work things are going good. Jacob has been getting sick a lot lately. The past two Sundays he has had a fever, chills, headache, and been dizzy. I feel bad for him but enjoy spending the day snuggled on the couch. So far I havent gotten sick either. Walmart is completly revamping the backroom system as well. They are combining the ICS team and the unloaders into one position. Now there will be a 7am to 4 pm team, a 4 pm to 1 am team and a 10 pm to 7 am team I believe. It might just be 7-4 and 4-1. Anyway nobody knows yet where they will end up. Supposedly they are only keeping 4 people at 7-4. 3 of which are pretty much decided....one is the team supervisor, one has been at walmart for almost 10 years and has seniority, and one is the best friend of the assistant manager over that area. Most people who get put on 4-1 will apply for another position or quit. Its so frustrating when they change things around just for the sake of changing them around, so they can feel like they are being progressive.

My last bit of Wal-mart news....I was supoenaed to give my statement for that case. I have to meet with lawyers on the 23rd. Should be interesting. I havent decided if it should settle out of court or not. It would better if it did but it would be interesting to go to court. So many people in this area, and in general, hate walmart. It would be interesting to see how many people show up to watch the hearing. And the news coverage in this area would be scathing I am sure.

I am going to see my sissy and the kids this weekend. I am leaving saturday after work and coming back sunday night. Unless my manager approved me working overnights next week to help with a special project. Then i will come back Monday. I think. I might still come back Sunday night since the kids will probably be in bed early for school. Anyway it will be nice to see them if only for a day. The weekend falls fairly close to half way between Spencer and Sabrinas birthdays. I will be taking presents for them. Hopefully I can convince Sissy to make a cheescake or something so we can celebrate properly!! :)

Lets see...what else have I done lately? I have been dancing at CJ's of course. I re organized all my scrap stuff that had slowly become a mess as I piled up all the new stuff I have been buying over the last few months. Hillary has been up every night this week so we have spent lots of roommate time chatting and catching up. My friend Benjamin came home from Dallas for the school year so I spent a Saturday night after work over there watching movies, eating pizza and playing Monopoly. I was doing so well, winning, and enjoying taking everyones money. I put up 4 houses on each of the green spaces just past Go To Jail. Then they all kept landing on Go To Jail every time they got near my spaces. It was ridiculous. Needless to say I wasnt as lucky when it came to landing on thier properties so they just hung out in jail collecting rent while I quickly went bankrupt. That game is only fun if you can cheat.

That is about it I think. I was going to go to the Spokane fair last weekend but Jacob was too sick. Then we were going to go Tuesday morning before I had to work at 5, but the carnival side didnt open until 3 which is when we would have had to leave so I could get to work on time. I thought about going today but Jacob has to work and I would rather spend the afternoon with him before CJ's. I am such a girl. Its disgusting.

I should really learn to pay attention to the date.

Yesterday was the anniversary of the day my grandma died. I didnt remember this until I was in church and they started to sing How great thou art. It immediately reminded me of my grandmother and I think they played it at her funeral. Which made me realize what day it was. I tend to get teary eyed in church anyway because my grandparents are the ones who took us to church. I immediately started to cry and knew I was going to bawl, so I pretty much plowed over the little ol' man next to me on my way out, and the couple at the end of the aisle. I made it to the lobby before I really let go...luckily the bathroom wasnt far away. I managed to pull myself together and get through the rest of the service. Afterwards Jacob teaches a Sunday school class so I had an hour to kill...which I spent just driving and bawling my head off in an attempt to get it out of my system. I was already tired and pretty much felt totally drained for the rest of the day. Jacob was really good about it though. He just held me until I got myself under control. And later he sat really still ( which is a huge feat for him) while I layed in his lap and rested my eyes that were all swollen and sore. If I had thought about the date before hand, I never would have gone to church.

His newest roommate arrived last friday. His name is Alex. I am not sure if I really like him yet or not. He is friendly but one of those loud, need to be center of attention type people. His other two roommates are more mellow like Jacob. We all went to Denny's on Saturday night and met up with some other friends. I havent eaten breakfast food in forever so it was yummy.

Thursday and Friday I spent time with my roommate. It was nice. We havent hung out in forever so it was nice to catch up. Her mom and sis were here on Wednesday. Her mom painted my toenails and put on little sparkly things. Getting my toes done is one of the few girly things I do. It was nice to get lots of girly time in this week since I usually spend my free time with Jacob and his roommates.

Last Monday Jacob and I went to this big band swing dance thing at the 1912 center. It was loudn and crowded. I accidentally hit Jacob in the jaw, and some other guy in the back of the head. He got kicked in the ankle several times. Some girls spiked heel caught on my gaucho pants and started to pull them down. I crouched down with the motion of her pulling them and got her heel unstuck before I was flashing the crowd. It was a fun night until a bunch of his friends showed up. He spent about 45 minutes dancing with other people. Normally on Thursdays at CJ's I dont mind. There are alwasy people there I know and can talk to. But when we are supposed to be out together on a date night, and there is noone there I know...I dont like to be ignored. Part of the whole me being girly thing. I had a headache anyway so I decided I was done for the evening and had him take me home. He stayed at my apartment with me for a couple hours and hung out. He is really good about accomodating my neediness. We will see how long that lasts! :)

Work is a madhouse right now. Back to college is our craziest time of year. We do more sales in the two weeks before classes than we do on the day after Thanksgiving or during the Xmas season. We usually do about 2-2.5 million more in those two weeks than we do in a typical month. We have had truckload after truckload to unload and stock on the floor. We had people from the Lewiston store come up on the weekends and help out on the sales floor. I have spent about half of every shift on a register. The whole store looks like crap because there is no way to get it back in shape each night without staying until midnight. Thankfully most customers are used to the chaos and have been pretty friendly.

My best friend in Colorado just had it confirmed that she is having a little girl. I get to be godmother. I am excited. Now I will have one godson and one goddaughter. Another little girl for me to teach how to shop. Not that it wouldnt happen anyway with her mother. She definately outshops me most of the time.

That is about it for this last week.

Shiny Red Things Make Me Happy

I got a new upgraded phone today. Its red, shiny, and pretty. I am not sure I like how it works yet but its red which was my only realy requirement for a new phone. So far I keep messing everything up because back/select are on the opposite sides of where they were on my old phone. Its so pretty though!! :)

Jacob made Mongolian stir fry stuff for dinner tonight. It was really spicy and super yummy. Then we watched a movie with his roommates. Its always interesting being the only girl in a room of guys. I am not sure what we are doing tomorrow. He wanted to go rock climbing again but I am not sure if his friend with the equipment is up for it or not. Besides I need to get a dress for this thing we are going to on Monday. Yes...I am going to wear a dress. And I called Jacob my boyfriend today. I have officially turned into a girl. He makes me happy though. Wednesday a group from work is having a bon fire at the resevoir again. It will be nice to have one last night there before school starts.

Fair is Fair

I guess if I complain that Sissy needs to update her blog, I should update mine as well. August has been pretty low key. I got to see my Sissy twice. I went there for a weekend which might have been in July now that I think about it. Anyway it was nice to see them. I spent an afternoon with them at my mother's house as well. Sissy and I got to spend an hour or so alone having sister time at a scrapbook store and the pet store. It was really nice. I always tend to enjoy my visits with them more when I get to have individual time with each of them. Its less overwhelming and I can connect with all of them better.

I went rockclimbing with Jacob again two weekends ago. This last Sunday we just hung out at his house and relaxed. We took a nap on the couch and watched movies. He is a good snuggle partner when he is asleep...otherwise he is fidgety. He tries really hard not to though for me. He was supposed to come over last night but he lost his car keys at work. He is going to make it up to me by taking me to dinner tonight before dancing. Last thursday he had to leave CJ's early because his friend had just assumed that Jacob would give him a ride home and he wanted to leave before it was over. He is the one person all his friends rely on for everything. Its admirable but aggravating at the same time. I am sure it will create issues at some point in the future. Oh well. He is a good bf.

I have played pool at the bar a few times. I am actually getting better. I manage to hit a few in each game. Work is the same ol crap every day. I am taking a semester off from school so I dont have to worry about that. I am switching from psychology to sociology. We will see if I like that program better. I still dont really like the way the University does things but I guess I can suck it up and deal to finish my degree.

What else...I finally moved all my storage stuff out of the dining room and into my storage units. I rearranged the furniture so now our apartment looks homey. I moved my lazy boy into my room so that I will actually use it. I have no floor space left but I love my chair. Its super comfy and the best spot to watch movies. Hillary has been keeping up on the dishes and garbage lately. She is making me look bad now. Although I still am pretty much the one to do most of the major cleaning. She has gotten better about that though too. Its a nice change. Between our opposite work schedules and us both having boyfriends now, we rarely see each other anymore. One or both of us has been gone for the last three weekends. We catch up in the mornings if I am still awake from insomnia. We make McD's runs together for breakfast.

That is about it for me exciting life. If I am not at work, I am at Jacob's. I have turned into such a girl. It still seems so wierd to call him my boyfriend....which I really havent yet. I still call him my boy. It startles me everytime I hear him refer to me as his girlfriend. I am sure I will settle into relationshipness soon.

Lawyer meeting

Just an update on the meeting....we went over everything we remembered about that day. At some point here in the near future we are all going to give depositions. Should be interesting. Cant give too many more details than that.

Olympia

I spent the weekend with the family in Olympia. It was too short of a visit but very nice to see them. Spencer made sure he was extra ornery and sent me away with lots of bruises on my legs from his knife hips. He likes to lay across my legs and dig his hip bones in because it hurts really really bad. I taught him to be ornery so I guess I cant complain too much. I love that kid. Alex was back to his sweet old self. He snuggled with me lots. It was nice to see him out of his teenage moodiness. He is an amazing young man. Sabrina is as fiesty as ever. Still 5 going on 15. We watched Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus 3D. Not my first choice for bonding time, but she loved it. She sang along to every song. Sissy made some wonderful meals. It was nice to be taken care of again for the weekend. I miss them and love them all very much.

Last Thursday I went dancing again at CJ's. It was fun because he had a bunch of friends there. I got to dance with several of them. And it gave me someone to chat with while Jacob danced with his female friends. We also hung out Wednesday night and watched a movie. Yesterday he packed a picnic lunch and we went to Boyer Park. He made creme brulee for me because it is my favorite dessert. He made coconut flavored. It was really yummy. He is far too good to me. I am going to become a spoiled brat! heehee

Meeting with lawyers makes me feel important.

Two years ago, the first summer I worked at Wal-Mart, a little boy almost poked his eye out. I was the first one on the scene. Apparently, it is just getting ready to go to court. Those of us who were present at the time get to meet with lawyers on Wednesday to discuss the accident. I am sure it will settle out of court but it would be nice to have paid time of from work to sit in a court room session. Interesting anyways if not entertaining. I just wish the meeting wasnt on my day off. Oh well. At least I will be making 40 hours this week.

Last Thursday I went to CJ's and learned how to swing dance from Jacob. It was pretty entertaining as I am completely uncooridinated and have no rhythm. He was very patient though. There are two girls there that dont seem too thrilled that I keep showing up. One girl who he dances with quite a bit kept giving me dirty looks the first night we went and just watched him dance. When he had me in the back of the room teaching me the basic steps, she walked up and started to ask him to dance. Once she saw my face, she was like "OH, you are busy. Never mind." Her and her friend left early after about an hour of him being in the back of the room with me.

The other girl I think was more irritated that he wasnt just sitting on the stage taking care of the music like he was supposed to. She came up and was like " you know you can stay on the stage when you are DJing." It wasvery obvious he was teaching me at the time. There are other people there who also take care of the music and were on the stage. Jacob also kept running up there to change songs. We will see how things go this Thursday. Little does the first girl know, not long after she left I made Jacob dance with some of the more experienced girls because I know how much he loves it and I didnt want him stuck teaching me all night.

Friday we went and saw the new Batman movie with his two roommates. It was good but too long. Heath did an amazing job as the joker. There was only one point in the movie where I distinctly recognized his voice. Once the movie started you lost sight of the fact that it was Heath and that he is dead. After the movie we went back to Jacob's where he walked me to my car and kissed me FINALLY! heehee Only took him five dates. Its cute how shy and awkward he is though.

Sunday we went to church, grocery shopping, watched a movie at his house, and had his usual Sunday night group dinner with his friends. He worked mid-shift today and I closed so we got to see each other a little bit. I took my last break when he left so I could get a goodbye kiss. :) So far management hasnt caught on. We are trying to keep it that way otherwise they watch you like a hawk and get all over you if you even look at each other while passing in the store.

Wednesday I am having lunch with my friend Jen so I can fill her in on the whole boy situation. Then I meet with the lawyers, and then Jacob is coming over to watch a movie and hang out. Thursday will be dancing after work again. Saturday morning I get to go to Olympia to see my Sissy and the kids.!!!!!!! I cant wait.

Ummm what else...? I did laundry for the first time in almost three weeks, I went to the grocery store, I cleaned my room, and watched Stop Loss with my roommate. (That should have you all caught up Sissy)

Back in the land of the cellular

My cell phone is flixed! It decided to magically flix itself. I am eligible for an upgrade on August 15th. I didnt want to wait that long so the phone people at work said if I bought a go phone and put my SIM card in, I could keep my same phone # and everything would transfer over. So i bought one today after work. While he was setting it up, I was playing with my old phone and it decided to turn on. I dont know what its problem was before, but now its charging and working. It just wanted me to look stupid i think. oh well. at least its flixed now!

A Day at the Resevoir

Today I went to the Spring Valley Resevoir with Jacob and a bunch of people from work. Mikey, Jacob, and I swam all the way across and half way back again before having the other girls bring us the raft. I should be in great shape by the end of the summer with all this active stuff I am doing lately. Jacob and I floated around in the raft for about an hour chatting. It was nice to cuddle up next to him and relax in the sun, on the water. He is taking things slow which is really nice but frustrating at the same time. hehe Afterwards we went back to Holly's apartment to watch the Spiderwick Chronicles. Which meant more cuddle time. :) Tomorrow after work we are BBQing at the resevoir and thursday is the night Jacob teaches dance. I am going to have to get on the dance floor and learn this time. Should be entertaining for those watching me try to learn. Friday we are going to watch the new Batman movie with some of his friends from church. Fun times!

Rock Climbing

I went to church with Jacob today. It was nice but church always reminds me of my grandparents. As soon as I see little old people coming in and the music is playing...I start to cry. I had to block everything out for the first 20 minutes or so just so I wouldnt be the wierd girl crying in church. I am sure there is a special place in hell for those of us who purposely think dirty thoughts in church. It helped not think about my grandparents. I am horrible, I know.

After church we went to Granite Point and went rock climbing. I did good on the first one, ok on the second, and was pretty much hoisted half way up the third and hardest climb. I am sore, sun burnt, and bruised but it was a great time. Afterwards we went back to Jacobs where he cooked dinner for about 15 of his friends. He made bread from scratch that was so yummy and home made spaghetti sauce. It was really really good.

He cooks, plays guitar, restored a yacht that he lived on for two years and still has, is well read, well traveled, dances, doesnt smoke, and is really really cute. I think I am in big trouble.

Latest News

There is an opening at the daycare center on campus that I am going to apply for. I would be starting out making .05 more an hour than I do at Wal-Mart. And that is after the raise I get starting August 8th for my yearly review. I would have weekends off and if it is like other campus jobs, I would only have to pay $5 per credit to go to school. That would kick ass.

Thursday I went to CJ's where the swing devil's teach 40's type swing dancing. I was too chicken to learn but it was fun to watch. Jacob from work invited us. We invited him to come play pool afterwards. Then he and I went to the bagel store. I was in shy mode so it was a pretty awkward night. But he invited me to go to church with him tomorrow and then rock climbing with some of his friends so apparently it wasnt too bad. He is really cute and a super nice kid, (almost too good for me haha) so we will see how it goes. He is really into outdoorsy stuff so he should help keep me motivated for the weight loss contest at work. I have already lost almost 9 pounds the last two weeks. I am very determined to get back in shape! I may turn into a blueberry like Violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory though... I have eaten so many of them!

Stupid Cell Phones

My cell phone decided it had enough and died on me. Being the procrastinator that I am, I havent done anything about getting it fixed yet. So until I get of my arse and get it fixed, email is the only way to get a hold of me.

Blonde Moment

Yesterday I had to go pay my rent. I am walking along toward the office in my own little world, day dreaming away. I walk into the building and notice that the door to the vestibule outside the office is shut. I am thinking, " I didnt know there was a door there, and why does the office door have an apt number on it. I hope the office isnt closed and the door is not locked. Oh but it shouldnt be because the drop slot for rent checks is in another door to the left in the vestibule" I opened up the door, which was not locked, and walked right into someone else's apartment! I was totally in the wrong building. It never occurred to me that the door had numbers because it was someones house! I shut the door really fast and ran out. I am just waiting for them to put up flyers warning us about someone trying to break into apartments during daytime hours!

I got my windshield fixed. Its amazing how much better I can see. The old one had so many teeny tiny little specks from flying rocks over the years, that I didnt realize how much clearer a new windshield would be. And my brakes were fine, and i didnt need any work done to the engine! yeah for me.

I got a full time position at work. They rearranged the way departments are split up and accidentally gave me someone elses full time spot. haha suckas! Now they had to create a new full time spot for her and leave me the other one. I should be getting more hours which will help with my Europe fund.

I am still ahead in our work weight loss program. I lost another three pounds and am maintaining my three pound lead. I really need to step it up so I can pull farther ahead and not have to worry about the competition. The second place guy's wife just started working with us and I tried to convince her to fatten him up but she didnt go for it. Oh well.

I am still not sleeping. I wish this town had something to do so I could be productive at night while I am wide awake. Monday I was up for over 24 hours. I went to bed at 6:20 pm thinking I should sleep through most of the night. Oh no...I was up and wide awake at 9:45pm. Barely three hours later. I didnt manage to go back to bed until 8 am the next morning. I slept for almost 7 hours, which is alot for me. Now its 8 am wednesday and i am still wide awake. I am sure I will be up until very late tonight. I just cant seem to get my brain to turn off and relax.

Karma?

I am trying to think what I have done lately to bring such bad luck my way. My roommate was driving me nuts yesterday because her boyfriend is ALWAYS here. And she never cleans anything. I drove to my dad's in Spokane to get away. Driving always makes me feel better. On the way home my check engine light came on. I stopped to make sure my gas lid was on tight and that my oil wasnt low since it was overdue for a change. It wasnt either of those things. Then as I am driving through Coeur d' Alene, some mysterious object came out of no where and hit my windshield, sending little shards of glass and glass dust all over my front seat. I didnt see what hit me, and didnt stop to find out. My first thought was someone was shooting cars or throwing rocks and I wasnt about to stop and see who or what it was. Anyway the damage is bad enough I have to replace my windshield which is going to cost almost $200. We will see on Tuesday whats wrong with my engine. And my brakes need replaced as well. I lost the title to my car so I am over due on getting it registered here in Idaho. I got pulled over for that today but luckily didnt get a ticket. To top it all off, while I was escaping my roommate, my friend from CDA came down for the night and wanted to hang out but I wasnt here! I did get to have lunch with him today though. Wasnt nearly enough time before he had to head back up to work but it was nice to hang for a little while anyway. On the brighter side I have lost 13 pounds and am in the lead at work for our weight loss contest. The winner gets a gift card toward new work clothes. I am only 2 pounds ahead of second place and 3 pounds ahead of third place so I have to get my butt in gear so I can hold onto my lead.

Missing Roommate?

Nothing new really going on. Spent the first night in almost two weeks hanging out with my roommate. The first week in June we worked opposite schedules. The first weekend in June we were both gone. Last week she had company from out of town. This weekend she was gone as well. She finally came home tonight. We vegged out in the living room watching movies, eating pizza, and doing jig saw puzzles. Totally lame but relaxing and fun. It was nice to catch up.

My family abandoned me again. I miss them like crazy. Hopefully I will be getting another early saturday shift followed by sunday and monday off so i can drive over and visit.

Pity Party.....Bring out the Clowns!

I am having a pity party this week. It seems everybody else is getting what they want or having great things happen to them. Everybody except me. Hillary got a great job, a new car, and a new boyfriend. Jen just got a killer new job. Price and Bekha are getting married. Ben is in Dallas making tons of money and having a great time. Trevor got his stupid girlfriend. Michelle and Nick get to do tons of traveling this summer. I am stuck in Moscow, working at stupid Wal-Mart, with no boyfriend, and nothing to do. And to top it off, my sissy is moving a million miles away and I will hardly ever see her again. At least my fish hasnt died yet.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yeah! Today is my 25th birthday!! ;) hehe I decided staying 29 was too old so I moved backwards a few years! I am doing dinner and seeing the new Indiana Jones movie with about ten of my friends. Then drinks afterwards with everyone who had to work late. Right now

The new apartment is wonderful. I have an awesome roommate who cooks dinner almost every night. lol I dont know how I always manage to find someone to take care of me lol. Its a gift. Right now Hillary's friend Justin is making us homemade meatball subs. lol The other day I discovered Shawna is right across the street! Only for a short time more though. :(

I got her addicted to an online chat type thing. We stay up until the crack of dawn talking to people. It great when we catch them saying the same things to both of us. We are easily entertained. But now we are determined to go to Australia. Lots of hot guys there.

We got some beta fish for our apt. Hers was blue and named after some comic book character. Mine is red and his name is Firecrotch. I was telling her how my fish always live forever and Rachel's always die right away even though she takes better care of them. I forget to feed them, hardly ever change thier water and they will last for a year or more. I told Hillary hers was gonna die soon and sure enough it died within a few days! I felt really bad. But she decided it was karma paying her back for stealing a chicken bowl from KFC. They put it in the bag with our food and we didnt tell them.

Work is the same ol same ol. I am thinking about applying for a job at either the U of I or Gritman daycares. Study hours, better pay and weekends off!! Everyone is gone for the summer so there has not been a lot going on. I miss my friends. : ( That is it for now.

Move in Day

Yeah... I get the keys to my new apartment today! I cant wait to get off work so I can start moving some stuff in. I have to wait until Sunday for the boys to move in my heavy furniture. It is nice to have something to look forward this time of year... so many of the friends I have managed to make this year are either graduating and leaving forever or leaving for the summer. To top off my day, Inventory will be done this afternoon at work so no more stressed out, grumpy managers! Plus I finally got a good nights sleep with a little help from my friend Nyquil.

2 Ben's and a Moby

Tonight I went to see Ben Folds at the Beasley Coliseum with my roommate Hillary. The opening act was Ben Lee. He came on stage 20 minutes early without realizing it. We got to hear extra long music. The down side was that most of his songs I didnt really care for. He is a very charismatic performer though. He made up songs on the spot, had an audience member come play his guitar and make up music while he made up a song. He did a lot of audience participation songs too.

Then Ben Folds came out to play. I dont really know much of thier music but Hill had an extra ticket and really wanted me to go. Toward the end he surprisingly had Moby come out on stage and play with him for a bit. It was a pretty good concert. I think most of his songs are really great in a live performance but not so much what i want to listen to in the car. At one point poor Hill was crying because she was supposed to go with a stupid boy who had to cancel at the last minute. I guess it was thier favorite song. I have to admit I was teary eyed during the song before I even looked at her and noticed she was crying. I have no memories tied to the song but it was just one of those songs that hits ya. I of course had a headache by the time it was over but it was fun. First concert I have ever been to though where they didnt come back out for an encore. Kind of sucky but I was readly to leave anyway.

Five more days until I can move into my apartment!! Yeah for me. I cant wait to get all my treasures out of storage. Work is a total pain in the butt right now. We have inventory on thursday so there is nothing for us to do. All of our stock in the back room has been pre-counted or arranged in a special way for the inventory people to count so we cant touch any of it. At least in my department. On inventory day we stand around doing nothing waiting for an inventory person to need a sku for an item. They always do apparel last so we really get to do nothing all day.

Tomorrow I am going to see Stop Loss with Hillary and then go on a random road trip with Benjamin. That is about the extent of my exciting life this week.

I just found out today that my best friend in North Carolina is pregnant and due around Christmas!! They will be moving to Colorado this summer which is only a days drive for me. I am so excited!!! They just started trying last month. I think she is having a little girl. We will see in a few months!

Ballerina Girl... aka Elton John is amazing!

I had the privelege of attending the Elton John concert last night in Pullman. It was an amazing show. He has so much energy. He makes the best faces while performing, we were cracking up. The percussionist had a great energy and personality too. The audience was almost as entertaining as Elton. People were dancing in thier seats...little ol grandmas and all the moms up for the weekend. We were behind the stage and fourth row back. We had a perfect view of the whole stage and Elton. We were as close as you could get without being in the front rows. I got lots of great videos and photos!

I am a big girl now!!

I signed a lease for an apartment with my friend Hillary today. Between staying with my sister and working as a live-in nanny for 10 years, it has been forever since I have had to pay rent. We can move in on May 1st. I already have some of my guy friends lined up with thier trucks to help me move my furniture!! Of course I will be providing pizza and beer for thier efforts, but it is nice to have some help.

It is going to be just like Christmas getting all my stuff out of storage and seeing what I have. Some of its been in storage for ages. Moving from the dorms will work perfectly because I will already have my dressers, desk, book shelves and bed set up in my new room. so i can just transfer my stuff without really having to box it all up and put it in storage. hmm I should go back over there and get the measurements of my room so I can plan my furniture arrangement. fun fun fun! I am super excited to get my scrapbook stuff back out!

Snow snow go away

I am done with this wierd weather. Snowing,, hailing, raining intermitently. What a pain. Anyway, last weekend was fun. I played paintball with Trevor, Corey, and Jason. Thier girlfriends were all supposed to be there but none came. It was a little awkward being the only girl but I had fun anyway. We ran around the woods on Moscow mountain. I was dirty and sore by the time we were done but I think they want to start playing every sunday.

Mom made it through her surgery. She is resting in ICU for now. I think she should be moved to a regular room today or tomorrow. I will probably go see her on Friday.

The apartment search is a pain in the butt. We think we found one that is affordable and that we could tolerate. Its kinda dirty and smelly though. The girls are going back today because Becky was in Boise when Hill and I looked at it. We will see. I just want to have a place already. I hate having things unsettled.

I am super excited for the Elton John concert this weekend!! I will be taking lots of pictures!

Ok... so I just got off the phone with Hillary. Apparently Becky has decided she wants a one bedroom because she will be here forever and wants something more permanent. Now Hill and I are looking at two bedrooms. She is not sure how long she will be staying here as she has no job lined up yet. This could be interesting. I may get a two bedroom to myself after all!!

Weekend Update

So far my weekend has started out well. Trevor took me to dinner at Casa Lopez to make up for ignoring me for the last month. I wasn't really that upset seeing as he has a girlfriend and is in love and all that mushy crap now. But it was nice of him to do, and I really enjoyed getting to catch up with him.

The girls and I watched another ridiculously stupid movie tonight. It was about a stoner chick. I think it was called Smiley. We really need to schedule one of our dress up movie nights and quit watching this other crap.

Tomorrow I am looking at some townhouses with the girls I will be living with starting this summer. Hopefully we can find a place that is ready now, so I dont have to take a Leave of Absence from work until I have a home.

Sunday Trevor, his girlfriend Emma, myself, and a bunch of his other friends are playing paintball in the woods near Troy. Should be fun. I havent played in years. Although if it keeps snowing it might be canceled. I am not sure how I feel about running around in the snow. I am allergic to the cold.

Well I am off to bed. I have to be up in a couple of hours for work.

I am Chlamydia Free!

Today in bio lab we simulated STD transmission. Everyone started with a test tube of water. One person had "Chlamydia" in thier tube. The professor put on "mood music", and when it stopped we had to take a dropper of our water and exchange it with someone else. It was like musical bed hopping. We did it three times, taking note of the # on the test tube of everyone we "slept" with. Then we put drops of a solution in our tubes. If it turned pink you had chlamydia.

There were six people infected. We made a chart with their test tube # and the #'s of who they slept with. We then had to figure out who had the original infected tube. It was a half hour of double entendres, puns, and dirty jokes. I love college!!

I get to go to the Elton John concert next weekend. Hillary's mom cant come down for it because they are preparing to move to Wyoming, so she is selling me her ticket! I am so excited. I am not a huge concert fan, but Elton John is a legend.

I picked up my Girl Scout Cookies today and then went to Paper Pals in Pullman. Where I discovered my family had time to stop by and visit but did not have time to see me. In fact, they couldnt even give me a phone call to confirm that they were still coming down to get Alex's car so that I could meet them there. Which would have been nice since I havent seen my brother since forever. But at least I know where I stand in line of importance for people to visit.

Movies you should never watch

In the last week I have seen two horrible movies. The first was Junebug. Horrible and boring. But you couldnt stop watching because you are waiting for there to be a point to the movie, or a big ending that will make the movie worthwhile. No such luck. The second movie was Enchanted. I will not be watching that one with Sabrina over and over. Funnily enough they both starred Amy Adams. I think its her that annoys me. She was irritatingly optimistic in both movies. On the plus side, I saw the 21 and it was pretty good!!

Random Update

So nothing super exciting going on as usual. We have been playing Yahtzee 24/7 in the dorms. I think Hillary is addicted. Of course she usually wins so I dont blame her.

I went for a short road trip with my friend Benjamin tonight. We drove down to Lewiston and then on to Asotin and some other little dinky town. Then he made me drive his truck all the way back. Nothing like driving someone else's vehicle in a snow storm at night. It was fun and relaxing though.... I love road trips. The best part of him having a truck is he gets to help me move my stuff this summer, AND he is going to be working in Dallas over the summer so he can buy and bring home my Original Formula Dr. Pepper so I dont have to pay ridiculous amounts of money to have it shipped here. yea for me!

I am pretty sure my Europe trip is off for this summer. But I have another friend who wants to go next summer and I found a Tour company that has a trip covering almost all the places we were going to go for a little less than $4000 plus airfare. that includes most meals, transportation and tons of other stuff. Plus it hits all the tourist stuff I wanted to see, with plenty of time to wander around and hit the not so touristy areas. Jen might have enough money saved by then to go next summer as well.

I tentatively have a place to live this summer and next year with two girls from the dorm. We will see. I am not entirely sure I want roommates but it is cheaper and less pressure than paying for a place on my own. One girl has a cat though which is gross. I hate litter boxes.

We have several movie nights lined up for the next couple of weeks....Legally Blonde in which I get to be Elle Woods. One of the girls is from India and has several Saris so she is going to lend them to us and we are going to watch one of her Bollywood movies. Then we are going to watch the third Pirates of the Carribean and dress like pirates and bar wenches. Fun times! I cant wait to get into an apartment to I can get all my scrapbooking stuff out and start scrapping the pics from these crazy nights!

woohoo ego boost

haha someone iranian looking guy messaged me on facebook late tonight too! so that makes four random messages from guys in one day. I cant remember if I mentioned Rob in my last post. He myspaced me tonight as well. He is a fellow Mead High School alumni. Too bad none of these guys are really datable but it still boosts my ego. what a wierd night.

Random Guys

So an update on the guys messaging me on myspace. Besides having a horrible name, Leeroy apparently is quite the man-whore and is rumored to not always use protection. The name was bad enough, but that definately eliminates him from datable status.

About an hour or so after he remessaged me, I got a message from another guy. I would have ignored it but he graduated from Mead High School in Spokane a few years after me. Apparently today was ranom messaging day and I didnt get the memo. Now its too late for me to randomly stalk people. Oh well. I guess there is always the next Random Messaging Day!

Fair is Fair

Ok. Since Sissy wrote three new postings I guess I should write one real entry. Unfortunately nothing new and exciting is happening. Tonight I am going in to work to hide Easter eggs in a certain department to mess with the department manager of that particular department.

Tomorrow is the All Up In My Grill event at the Kibbie Dome for students of the residence halls. There will be free food, live music, games etc. Should be corny but fun. I am still taking it easy now that I am finally feeling better.

Saturday night is movie/game/pizza night at Ben's house. He is my little mormon friend that I am trying to corrupt. Really its just fun to embarass him.

Sunday I will be driving up to my mother's for lunch/dinner. I plan on pushing Sabrina down and finding all the eggs myself!! lol j/k I actually might drive up to CDA late Saturday night after Ben's. I havent decided yet.

Today I had bio lab. It was kinda fun. We got to kill lots of moose and wolves. Simulated of course. It is always nice when the lab write ups are done as a small group in class so I have no homework to worry about for a whole week!! This is the one class I actually do my homework in so its a nice break.

I got asked to dinner today by this kid who used to work at Wally World with me. Too bad he is only 21. I politely informed him that 13 years younger is beyond my dating range. So he decided it would just be dinner and not a "date". I hate when they cant take no for an answer... its so awkward and makes me just want to be mean so they get the hint. In the mean time some other cute kid messaged me because he noticed I was friends with two of his friends. Maybe things are looking up in the dating department. I forgot to see how old he was though. I am sure he is another youngin... but he is cute so I might make an exception. Although I dont like his name(leeroy) so maybe not. We will see.

Well I need to do some errands and hide easter eggs. One long blog should equal two of sissy's. plus my fake one equals her mushy/girly poem. I consider us even for now!

Back in the land of the computerized!

The bads news is my laptop is totally fried. The good news is, my desktop is finally linking to the school internet so I am back in the world of technology! My laptop can be fixed I am told, but I am debating buying a new one anyway. Dell has some new pretty red ones that I really really want. but i dont need. I do have a dell credit card though that i have yet to use....we shall see how long i can hold out!

School is a disaster this semester. I am not sure what I am gonna do next year. I am so burnt out. Spring break has been a blast. I am getting over the flu so it has been pretty low key. The two other girls who stayed here in the dorms, and I have been on a movie marathon. Last night we had Coyote Ugly night with two other girls from another dorm. We went to Ross and bought trashy clothes, slutty shoes and got cowboy hats from Tristate. We then ordered some pizza, drank some beer, and watched the movie. then we tried to fly the kites we bought but there was not enough wind. Hillary wants to join the FBI so she bought a toy FBI kit while we were at the dollar store. We decided that tomorrow will be Miss Congeniality night. She is gonna dress up in her FBI stuff and I am gonna wear the brides maid dress from D's wedding that is still in my room. We have way too much time on our hands. I have caught up on laundry, packed up half my room and put it in storage, cleaned out 4 trash bags of clothes to donate, and vaccumned. So it has not be totally nonproductive. Now i just need to start on my homework.

MidTerms

aaaggghhh! I wrote a whole blog and lost it! Damn computer. So now here is the abridged version.

1. Went to the Vagina Monologues...not for me. 10 year old boy there= life of vagina obsession or fear.

2.Drag show at the lodge: nice to be in an environment that reminded me of NYC. Bad dancers=bad show.

3.Bachelorette Party on Thursday...should be fun.

4. Mardi Gras is coming up=cute drummer in my favorite local band will be here.

New semester

Vacation was great. Darla's wedding was amazing. She made a gorgeous bride. We had a lot of fun getting ready for her big day. The rehearsal dinner was a blast. We followed it up with a lingerie party so those of us who are from out of town and couldnt make the earlier festivities could participate in some of the prewedding fun.
NYC was a blast as always. It was great to spend time with my godsons. I miss them like crazy. The weather wasnt too bad. A little cold but no snow.

The new semester is getting off to a slow start. I already dropped a class. lol I am not much more motivated than i was last semester but i am trying to change that. Having a snow day today didnt help. I have made some new friends which is always nice. And so far no drama. We will see how long that lasts.
